Important note

These terms are provided as a starting point. They must be adapted to Girouard Conseil TI’s actual practices, contracts, professional responsibilities, markets served, and applicable laws. They should be reviewed by legal counsel before final publication.

If you do not accept these terms, you should stop using this website.

2. General information

The website content is provided for information only.

The text, pages, examples, guides, service descriptions, downloadable content, communications, and other materials presented on this website are provided for general informational purposes only.

They do not constitute complete legal, tax, financial, accounting, technical, cybersecurity, or compliance advice. They do not replace a specific review of your organization, systems, providers, risks, contracts, or obligations.

3. No automatic client relationship

Using the website does not create an advisory mandate.

Visiting this website, completing a form, sending an email, or booking a call does not automatically create a client-advisor relationship, professional obligation, broad confidentiality obligation, or service mandate with Girouard Conseil TI.

A professional relationship is established only when a proposal, service agreement, or other applicable document is accepted in writing by the relevant parties.

4. Professional services

Services are governed by separate agreements.

Girouard Conseil TI provides independent IT advisory, external IT leadership, technology decision support, IT governance, vendor evaluation, executive oversight of IT projects, IT budget review, and strategic guidance related to IT risks.

The services, deliverables, responsibilities, limitations, fees, timelines, confidentiality obligations, termination rights, and other terms applicable to a mandate must be defined in a separate proposal or agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Girouard Conseil TI does not provide daily IT support, managed IT services, software or hardware resale, technical implementation, system administration, continuous operational monitoring, or managed technical cybersecurity services.

  • Submit false information, impersonate someone, or transmit harmful content;
  • Interfere with the availability, performance, or security of the website.

6. Intellectual property

The website content belongs to Girouard Conseil TI or its licensors.

Unless otherwise indicated, the text, structure, visual elements, names, marks, logos, pages, concepts, documents, guides, downloadable content, and other website materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may consult the content for your internal information needs, but you may not reproduce, publish, modify, distribute, sell, substantially copy, or commercially exploit it without prior written authorization.

8. Privacy

Privacy is governed by our policy and applicable agreements.

Personal information submitted through the website, a form, email, or Microsoft Bookings is handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

You should avoid submitting highly sensitive information, trade secrets, detailed technical data, passwords, access credentials, confidential configurations, or internal documents that are not necessary before an appropriate framework has been established.

Once a mandate is accepted, more specific confidentiality obligations may be included in the applicable service agreement.

10. Limitation of liability

Use of the website is at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Girouard Conseil TI, its officers, collaborators, providers, and representatives will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website, its content, or its external links.

This limitation is not intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. No warranties

The website is provided as is.

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Girouard Conseil TI does not warrant that the content will be complete, accurate, current, suitable for your specific situation, or sufficient to make a business, technology, legal, financial, or compliance decision without additional review.

12. Governing law and territory

These terms should be adapted to the final applicable law.

Subject to mandatory laws that may apply, these terms are intended to be interpreted according to the laws applicable in the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Girouard Conseil TI may serve organizations in Quebec, Canada, the United States, Australia, and elsewhere depending on the context. Mandatory rights of visitors, consumers, or individuals in other jurisdictions may continue to apply where the law requires.

This section should be legally reviewed, especially if the firm enters mandates with clients outside Quebec or Canada.
